S c h e i b l h o f e r

The Winery Scheiblhofer is located in Andau which is part of the administrative district Neusiedl am See. With its owned 85 hectares of vineyards Scheiblhofer is one of the biggest wineries in Burgenland. The company is famous for its red wine cuvée “Big John”. The winery was founded by Johann Scheiblhofer in 1983 and taken over by his son Erich in 2000. Besides the production of high-quality wines, the family business focuses on modernity, innovation, sustainability and interpersonal skills.

Scheiblhofer was Austria’s first winemaker who received the Austria’s Leading Companies-Certificate. Furthermore, they were awarded as the “Best Family Business of Burgenland” in May 2017 by the daily newspaper “die Presse”, Bankhaus Spängler, BDO Austria and the Austrian Chamber of Notary. Also, the Chamber of Agriculture of Burgenland announced Scheiblhofer as Winery of the Year in 2019 again.


Sauvignon Blanc

Shiny green straw yellow, fragrant elderflower animating with refreshing notes of dewy green peppers great fruit on the palate, light-hearted, light-footed, a cheeky sparkling summer wine with ambitions.


Shiny yellow refined with silver edges, fruity, spicy Chardonnay note by a fine walnut shell scented tart, tangy-fresh with Mandarin flavors on the palate, a green pepper leaving.



Dense ruby red with violet edges, total fruitiness and aroma of caramel, complex and layered, powerful tannins with oak roasted flavor.


The Peak of Glory

Strong ruby garnet, a fruity explosion in the nose. Wonderful play of fruit and chocolate notes with a slight smoky touch. Nice drinking flow and long- lasting tannins. A versatile food accompaniment in a very modern style.
